My painting is an act of reunion in which reality and daydream coexist. It is a solidity that can contain within it air and openness, solid compressed blocks of memory which somehow sustain an immediate clarity.
In between all perspectives, I am using map and diagrams to contain and expand the reverie beyond the painted surface.
In the image below my cat Pinky is escaping from a window… a surface that allows the viewer to enter and stroll around and then pause, and to leave with an impression, or maybe a memory of something that may have changed… a vastness of absorbing reverie.
