In 2008, Lorraine was commissioned to create a large painting representing the Sea. Through this unique painting project a new pictorial questioning was uncovered enabling connections with the past and present. This formed the foundations of what would become Fossi’s ‘Sea Abstractions Collection.’

In May 2010 Lorraine Fossi exhibited her Sea paintings in a solo show at the Burgh House in Hampstead.

Several of these paintings were bought by private collectors, including Moses’s Hand and Gibraltar.
